Wood windows fail or leak many times due to weather infiltrating the wood and causing rot, glazing can become brittle and break out with age, and older windows with weights can have the ropes break after years of service causing the window not to stay up by itself.
Also screens can become damaged or dingy over the years and require replacement or repair.
New windows can be costly, time consuming, and create a mess when they are replaced. In turn, hiring a wood window repair services, typically is less costly, faster, and does not come with all the mess.
As mentioned above, wood window repair can be needed for all sorts of reasons. We remodeled houses for 10-years and in that time, I'm not sure how many of those window issues we fixed or how many actual windows we repaired, but it was a lot.
